The USA Today lead headline online early Friday morning says "Judge: Military's ban on gays is unconstitutional." The paper says a federal judge on Thursday declared the U.S. military's ban on openly gay service members unconstitutional and said she will issue an order to stop the government from enforcing the "don't ask, don't tell" policy nationwide.

It says Florida preacher Terry Jones on Thursday called off his Sept. 11 plan to burn copies of the Quran. Hours later, he threatened to reconsider.
