(Newsroom America) -- President Obama, first lady Michelle Obama and Vice President Joe Biden will take in a combined $5.3 million in one day Wednesday from a series of campaign fundraisers each will attend.
The president will host about 50 supporters at the St. Regis Hotel in Washington, with tickets starting at $35,800, ABC News reported. Obama then moves to a private event at a residence in nearby Chevy Chase, Md., where tickets are also starting at $35,800.
At the same time, Michelle Obama and Biden will be attending campaign events outside Washington.
The first lady will attend a private party in Beverly Hills, Calif., where some 135 guests will pay $5,000 apiece to attend. While there, she will also tape an episode of "The Tonight Show" with Jay Leno, ABC News said.
Biden attended a pair of events in Texas, first at the Historic Hilton in Fort Worth, where about 200 people paid $5,000 each to hear him speak, and next at the Billy Hall Bend Ranch in Dekalb, where 20 supporters each paid $35,800.
All proceeds will benefit the Obama Victory Fund, said the report.
The fundraisers come on the same day the president reported raising $39.9 million in the 4th quarter of last year to the Federal Election Commission. In all, Obama has about $81 million in cash on hand for the coming election.
