Conrad Murray Gets 4 Years For Killing Michael Jackson

(NewsRoom America) -- Dr Conrad Murray has been sentenced to four years in prison for killing pop star Michael Jackson.

The sentence comes three weeks after a jury convicted him of involuntary manslaughter.

In summing up, the judge said Murray "engaged in this money for medicine madness which is simply not going to be tolerated by me."

He said it was a "horrific violation of trust" in the doctor-patient relationship.

Murray will serve his term in the Los Angeles county jail, but may be out after two years because of overcrowding.
